Pro is the same product on both platforms. The only difference is who handles the money. This affects how you cancel, where you see receipts, and what your refund rights look like.
Web subscriptions (Stripe)
If you upgraded by clicking the Pro button on the web dashboard, your subscription is billed by Stripe.
- Manage: Dashboard → Settings → Pro → Manage subscription. Opens a Stripe-hosted billing portal where you can change card, switch monthly/annual, or cancel.
- Receipts: Stripe emails an invoice to your billing email each renewal.
- Cancel: Same billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
iOS subscriptions (Apple)
If you upgraded by tapping the Upgrade to Pro button in the iOS app, your subscription is billed by Apple via the App Store and charged to your Apple ID.
- Manage: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → FacultyDex. Or in the app: Settings → Manage subscription.
- Receipts: Apple emails a receipt to the email associated with your Apple ID.
- Cancel: Same Apple Subscriptions screen. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Refunds: Request via reportaproblem.apple.com — Apple, not us, decides on iOS refunds.
Don't double-subscribe
Pick one. If you sign up on the web and then ALSO upgrade in the iOS app, you'll be charged for both subscriptions and we have no way to refund the duplicate (each platform's billing is opaque to the other). The app and dashboard both show your current Pro status, so check before subscribing on a new platform.
Switching platforms
To move from Stripe to Apple billing: cancel the Stripe subscription first (you'll keep Pro through the end of the current period), then re-subscribe in the iOS app. To move the other direction, cancel in Apple first, then re-subscribe on the web.
