Editing content on iOS

Last updated: May 3, 2026

The iOS app handles every kind of content the web dashboard does: profile, photos, publications, news, press mentions, lab members, awards, grants, education, experience, presentations, courses, and service. The big exception is custom pages — those need the visual editor, which is web-only.

The dashboard tab

The first tab of the app shows your dashboard: a header with your live-site URL, a 90-day analytics chart, and quick links into each content area. Tap any content type to open its list.

List screens

Every content type has a similar list screen. Pull down to refresh. Tap an item to open and edit it. Tap the + in the top-right to add a new item. Swipe a row to the left to reveal a destructive Delete action — confirm with a second tap.

Edit forms

Forms are native iOS forms with system controls (date pickers, toggles, segmented controls). Required fields are marked. Save buttons live in the top-right or as a large primary button at the bottom, depending on the form.

Photo uploads

Lab members and news items support photos. Tap the photo placeholder to pick from your photo library or take a new one with the camera. We resize on-device to keep the upload small (most photos compress to under 200 KB). Square photos work best for member portraits.

Drafts and published state

Most edits go live immediately on your published site — there's no separate "publish this change" step beyond saving. The exception is news items, which have a per-item published toggle.

Editing the live site itself

Open Site → Status to publish, unpublish, or change the subdomain. Toggle Site → Pages to enable or disable individual sections (e.g. hide the teaching page if you don't need it).
